Q: Is Kokon NÜ’s visage safe for everyone to use?
A: Generally, yes - this technology is safe for all skin types, with no pain and no downtime. It generates no heat and no UV light. However, please consult your doctor if you suffer from any photosensitive disorder, have a genetic eye disease, are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before use if you are taking any medication that may cause photosensitivity.
Q: Can I use Kokon NÜ’s phototherapy technology while pregnant or breastfeeding?
A: The Kokon NÜ Visage has not been tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women, and therefore the risk to the fetus, neonate, or pregnant woman is unknown. Phototherapy is very safe overall but because we do not have enough information about use while pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend consulting your doctor before use.
Q: Are there any side effects to Kokon NÜ’s phototherapy technology?
A: Generally, minimal to no side effects are experienced in clinical trials of phototherapy. Skin may appear red immediately following treatment, but should return to normal within 1-2 hours. Temporary headache immediately following treatment may be treated with an appropriate pain killer and rehydration.
Q: Should I use any skincare products while using Kokon NÜ’s visage?
A: Make sure skin has been cleansed and exfoliated to remove any traces of makeup and skincare products before using the phototherapy mask. Light will penetrate deepest when there is no product on the skin. After treatment, the effects will help skin cells absorb topical skincare products more effectively, so you can complete the rest of your skincare regimen and apply sunscreen after your phototherapy treatment.
Q: How long will it take before I start seeing results?
A: When used as recommended, 10-minute treatments at 3-5 days per week, you should start seeing results after 4-6 weeks.
Q: Do I need eye protection and should I close my eyes during treatment?
A: You are not required to wear eye protection if used as recommended, however some people find they are sensitive to blue light so it will depend on your individual photosensitivity. If you choose to use the device more often or longer than the recommended treatment times, we recommend kicking back, relaxing and keeping the eyes closed during treatment.
Q: How do I set up Kokon NÜ’s phototherapy mask?
A: First, make sure skin has been cleansed and exfoliated to remove any traces of makeup and skincare. Thread the included Velcro strap through the inlet holes on either side of the mask, loop the straps around your head, and place the mask comfortably on your face. Secure straps firmly and adjust as necessary. Connect USB connection to the USB port of a power supply. The power button should light up green to indicate power is being supplied.
Q: How do I charge Kokon NÜ’s phototherapy mask?
A: The mask is not battery powered, and must be plugged into a USB power supply during use. This ensures that you are always getting the maximum energy output of the lightbulbs.
Q: How do I clean and care for my Kokon NÜ’s phototherapy mask?
A: To clean the mask, use a water-based wipe or damp clean cloth. Place the mask on a clean dry surface to air dry. Visually inspect the surface to ensure it is clean. Stubborn stains may be removed by wiping gently with 70% alcohol. DO NOT use any other cleaning products, as they may damage the materials.
Store the mask at room temperature in dry conditions using the carry bag provided. Avoid storing the Kokon NÜ Visage in dusty, damp or humid conditions, or in direct sunlight.
